Lula & Granite

Today Lula wanted to wear her rain shoes to school...it is not even cloudy but she insisted she

wear them. She looked so cute I had to take a picture.

The Granite guys finished up yesterday but Anthony stills has to do the plumbing and I still need to finish painting the cabinets white. We also want to frame out the mirrors and then we will be finished with this project.

I Want To Ride My Bicycle!

Well with the gas shortage we decided to have a bike weekend. Anthony went for a bike ride then took Lula for a bike ride and the playground. We all took our bikes and the bike trailer to the grocery store to buy groceries. I do hope that everyone has gas to get to work this week. Thankfully our church is so close to the house otherwise we would have missed. We also got granite installed in both bathrooms upstairs but they could not come back to finish the job because they did not have gas for their truck. So we are without sinks in both upstairs bathrooms but no worries hopefully they will get out this week to finish up.

Some Stuff

Here are a couple of pics of Phoebe playing. I like the first pic because that is one of her weird face she is making.

Lula's first official haircut at a salon. She did great and got a little stacked bob which looks so adorable. She was so good and was very happy to receive her first lollipop.

Lula is learning to ride her bike. She got the bike for her birthday but is just now showing interest in riding it. She is doing really well!

Body surfing down stairs

Since I was off from work today, I got to play with Phoebe all alone while Tessa took Lula to a mommy play date at the playground. Here are two short videos of Pheebes body surfing down the stairs in our house.

We are Back!

My sweet husband took me on a cruise for my 30th and we are back. It has been difficult to get back to the swing of things since we were pampered so much! We went with our friends David & Ghazaleh and we all had a great time. We took the Exotic Western Caribbean cruise which went to Cozumel, Honduras (Rotan), Belize, and then to the Bahamas. We were able to avoid the hurricanes for the most part except for one really rough day at sea. We were able to rent scooters and check out ruins, went snorkeling and got fabulous massages right on the beach, went cave tubing, and so much more. We had so much fun but we did miss the kiddos. A BIG THANKS to NANA & GRANDPA for taking such wonderful care of our babies. =) Please see the photo album cruise to the right. Our camera had gotten wet and stopped working about 4 days into the trip but we used our friends camera so once I have those pics I will update the album more. Enjoy!

First Day Back to Preschool

Today was Lula's first day of school. She was so excited and could not wait to go to her class to meet her teachers and new friends. She did ask if Phoebe could go with her, I was tempted, but told her that Phoebe is not ready to go to big girl school. I dropped her off and she kissed me goodbye and never looked back. She is growing so fast....sniffle sniffle!

Labor Day Weekend

Anthony had a long four day weekend so we took advantage of hanging out as a family. We have been out to eat, playing outside, Lula's race, & pool cookout.

Lula had a race on Saturday, which she has been super excited about, and she did the same one last year and loved it. When they got to the starting line Anthony was running with her but she started complaining that it was too loud. Then she started crying asking her daddy to hold her. She had an absolute meltdown and once she saw me she ran to me and refused to finish the race. Unfortunately the video does not capture her meltdown but we left immediately because she was causing such a scene. Once we got in the car she was fine and talking excitedly about her race. Go figure! So we decided to keep her race number and just let her run around the house with it whenever she wants to do a race. =) I have uploaded more pics to the August photo album.
