Happy 5th Birthday Lula..

Today our Lula turns 5 and I feel God has blessed us with her. She is so curious about everything, especially heaven, she loves music and dancing, her favorite night of the week is family night, her favorite color is PINK, she loves with all her heart, sassy as can be, and just simply put she is the coolest kid.... Happy Birthday to our sweet Baby Girl!

Peek-A-Boo

Greyson is getting so very big..he said his first words, which were DA..DA. He is also mimicking and playing games. This picture he is playing Pee-A-Boo. He is almost to the point of crawling and is starting to get around pretty good. I just love love that boy.

My mom was here this past week and we had a blast. I will post pictures soon.....

Eclipse

So I have to admit that I am really into the whole Twilight thing... I know what am I 12? Actually I feel more like 18.5. =)

Last night I went with a good friend to see Eclipse, it is my favorite book and thus far favorite movie.

Attitude Adjustment Again...

Okay so here I am again in need of yet another attitude adjustment. I am not complaining and love it when God is revealing. It shows that He cares for little ole insignificant me.

Well let me begin with I am really good at telling my children to get a
song in their heart and a smile on their face. I need a little, or maybe a lot, dose of my own advice apparently. I woke this morning with no song in my heart or smile on my face. I think it was more grizzly bear but anyway I was not a force to be reckoned with. I had yelled at both children and had spanked one, not out of anger but out of impatience, all before 7a.m. and all I could think of was man I am so T-I-R-E-D and why do these kids have to get up so early?!

Then that little voice started whispering ever so softly to me. Which snaps me out of it and then leads me to scripture. I love how scripture has what I need to glorify God in my everyday life. I was just telling a dear friend how I strive to be Christ-like to my husband, which I fail daily but I am a continuous work in progress. Immediately after I said that it hit me that I am not so conscience of my "actions" in front of my children, well to a point anyway. I can be quick to anger and have no patience at times. Not that I am beating them, cussing them,..but you get my point.

So there I was bright and early roaming the house like a rabid opossum, I just like opossums, and for my poor choice of going to bed very late and being very tired was my childrens' fault how?! Hmmmmm.....

So when I woke up I thought crap it is so early in the am. With some scripture and an attitude adjustment, I think Thank You God for this glorious day.

Instead of my kids are driving me crazy....it is Thank you God for blessing me with these wonderful creations which I am so undeserving of being their mom.

Thank you God for loving me and sending your Son for me..... man I get so skewed and off course at times but THANK YOU GOD for always reeling me back in and keeping me on your path! I am responsible for these little ones getting on the right path to God and thankfully with His gentle reminders it tells me what a big responsibility I have with my children and I do not want to take that lightly by any means. . .

So the day has taken a much better turn since my attitude adjustment and I know my family is happier for it as well as me. We spent some time outside playing and planting flowers. Found a robins nest with two eggs too.... God is so wonderful!



An interesting lesson in SS class this past Sunday.... James 3, Taming The Tongue. God might as well picked up the bible and smacked me with it. So I have been spending some time with James and can already see going back to him again and again. =)

I can not believe my baby is 6 months old. We feel so blessed to have him and the girls just adore him! All is healthy, Praise God.

I think in this picture he knew what was coming....3 shots. Poor baby!

Farm days...

We headed back to Alabama for some work, fun, and family. Since I just had Lula and Greyson I decided to do Lu's 5 year pictures. The farm is a wonderful place to do this and was really pleased how the pics turned out...

I was able to step into the life of a chicken farmer and I am not going to lie to you....it is not a glamorous job. I had to walk the chicken houses, which after a little while did not notice the smell as bad, and pick up dead chickens, which was definitely very smelly, and worked very hard. I have blisters on my hands, covered in dirt, and who knows what else, from head to toe, and I was very sore.....

but, there is something very serene, calm, and peaceful about the life of a farmer. It is rewarding to see your garden grow, your chickens grow and happy, and the beauty all around you. Not to mention the friendly atmosphere and the fun equipment you get to drive.

God is so wonderful to give us such beautiful things to see....one day working a storm was coming in and the sky was breathtaking how it reflected off the pond. I also witnessed kindness of the neighboring farmer share his crops and how everyone seems to have each others back...

I found myself being very southernfied with my accent becoming very drawn and eating all that yummy food and drinking a lot of sweet tea.
One of my favorite things to do is spend time with family and that is exactly what I did.. staying up late together, working together, and basically doing everything together. It reminds me so much of growing up and reveals to me just how much I miss it, the family time not so much the hard work. =)

Lula is definitely my city girl...she worried about getting dirty, the bugs, and kept asking me "what is that smell", but had a wonderful time.

I had to include this picture because this is the way she was acting a lot of the time...

but I some how managed to make her laugh...

Here is a picture of Lula, Aunt Lee-C took her to a water park and she loved it! She rode everything there even the big slides... a big thank you to Lee-C for taking such good care of my baby and giving her a wonderful time. Thank you Ticket Master! =)


A big thank you to my sweet Aunt Lisa for taking such wonderful care of us and making it very hard to leave...

We are now home and anxiously awaiting for our beloved husband/ daddy to get home. We look forward to being back together as family.
