Vegas Day 2

Day 2 in Vegas Anthony had training and I spent the day shopping, without kids. It was so relaxing! Then Anthony and I hit the strip for a fabulous dinner at Mon Ami Gabi. It is a French restaurant and it took us back to our trip to Paris.....hmmmm mussels. We sat on the patio, to people watch of course, and let me tell you there are some characters in this town. Our table overlooked the water show at the Bellagio. So every fifteen minutes we got a show of water set to music, very neat.

We are having a blast but miss the girls, they are having fun with Mamaw. The time change has been tough to adjust too. By the time I am adjusted it will be time to go home.

Also if you click on the picture below it will enlarge and you can see that I have something in my teeth. You would think my husband or the waiter would have let me know. Oh well I still had fun so enjoy at my expense! =)

Well I am off for more shopping, then relax in the hot tub with a book, and then a nap. It has been nice to be able to read a book and almost finished with it.

Vegas Day 1

Once our plane landed we decided to go do some hiking in Red Rock Canyon, which is beautiful place and just outside the city. God is truly amazing to create such beauty and as we stood there surrounded by His wonderful creation made us feel all that closer to Him. We enjoyed the hike and then walked the strip that evening. We caught one free pirate show which was pretty good and were exhausted so went back to the hotel to get some sleep. Today Anthony is in training and I am going shopping. We are missing the girls but really enjoying our time. There is not telling what we are getting into tonight.

Also I should explain this video that I posted.....so while we were hiking we were messing around taking pictures and I got the idea to take a pic of me trying to climb this big rock, or at least make it look like I was climbing. Anyway I did not realize as I was getting ready for a picture Anthony was taking video of me. We got a big laugh out of it!!

Long Weekend

Friday we finally got around to taking the girls to the GA Aquarium. They are running a Mommy & Me promotion until March, check it out at

The girls had fun for about the first 45 minutes but then were over it. The best part was the Beluga Whales, such amazing creatures to watch. The girls really enjoyed them!

Friday night was our monthly game night and we rocked out on Rock Band and the Wii. Thanks to the Shih's for hosting.

Sunday after church Lula had her friend Jennifer's birthday party complete with a real Princess, face painting, and balloon animals. Thankfully no clowns. =)

We also took the girls to play at the indoor playground, since it was so cold, at NorthPoint mall. I think everyone with children had the same idea because it was crazy busy. The girls had fun and got to ride the carousel. We are all worn out but looking forward to the upcoming week.... the kids are excited to spend some time with Mamaw. Anthony and I are looking forward to spending 5 days in Vegas without children.
