This time the attitude adjustment was for me and not my children.
I woke this morning to a child throwing up in the floor of her bedroom. My first thought was great
I had yet another mess to clean, great
I had more laundry to do, great
I will have to stay home and not be able to go anywhere, and great
I would have to take care of other family members if they were to get sick too. Later, as I was watching her sleep a thought occurred to me that no matter what I am doing Phil. 4:4 says "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again Rejoice!". Now my heart and thoughts were definitely not in the right place this morning, so that got me thinking about how in this situation I should be rejoicing and praising Him? So I spent a little time with God for an attitude adjustment.

So now my thoughts go something more like this....
I am thankful that
God has given me a child that is healthy enough to fight off a virus that has attacked her little body, I am thankful that
God has given my husband a job that supports my family and allows me to stay home to take care of her, and I am thankful that
God has given me this day to rejoice in Him! I do love me some attitude adjustment and for a day that started out ugly has turned out to be a blessed day. May yours be blessed too!
