Farm days...

Photobucket
We headed back to Alabama for some work, fun, and family. Since I just had Lula and Greyson I decided to do Lu's 5 year pictures. The farm is a wonderful place to do this and was really pleased how the pics turned out...

PhotobucketI was able to step into the life of a chicken farmer and I am not going to lie to you....it is not a glamorous job. I had to walk the chicken houses, which after a little while did not notice the smell as bad, and pick up dead chickens, which was definitely very smelly, and worked very hard. I have blisters on my hands, covered in dirt, and who knows what else, from head to toe, and I was very sore.....

Photobucket
but, there is something very serene, calm, and peaceful about the life of a farmer. It is rewarding to see your garden grow, your chickens grow and happy, and the beauty all around you. Not to mention the friendly atmosphere and the fun equipment you get to drive.
Photobucket
God is so wonderful to give us such beautiful things to see....one day working a storm was coming in and the sky was breathtaking how it reflected off the pond. I also witnessed kindness of the neighboring farmer share his crops and how everyone seems to have each others back...
Photobucket
I found myself being very southernfied with my accent becoming very drawn and eating all that yummy food and drinking a lot of sweet tea.
PhotobucketOne of my favorite things to do is spend time with family and that is exactly what I did.. staying up late together, working together, and basically doing everything together. It reminds me so much of growing up and reveals to me just how much I miss it, the family time not so much the hard work. =)

Photobucket
Lula is definitely my city girl...she worried about getting dirty, the bugs, and kept asking me "what is that smell", but had a wonderful time.
Photobucket
I had to include this picture because this is the way she was acting a lot of the time...
Photobucket
but I some how managed to make her laugh...

F-A-M-I-L-Y

We took a couple of days at the farm in Alabama...every time I go it reminds me of growing up. Seeing the family and spending time with them makes my heart so happy.
Here the girls are playing together...

Photobucket
Here is a picture of Mr. Masters and I.... I love that man! He was helping my Aunt Lisa out at the house with windows, ceiling fans , and such. Aunt L cooked up a storm for us, which we loved, and some good southern food. Thanks to Aunt Lisa and the girls for making us feel so very welcome.

Phoebe liked playing with the new addition to the family, Lexi...

Before leaving for AL we took the kids hiking...
PhotobucketSomething about taking them and being in the great outdoors is so peaceful. I love that the girls ask about all the things around us and how God made it. Lula asked "if God speaks to us then why don't I hear him?". My Aunt told me to tell her that it is like the wind, you can feel it but you can't see it. Lula seemed to understand a little better...

Photobucket
Greyson was lulled to sleep by Mr. Masters walking...
PhotobucketThe last two weeks I have been blessed to see God moving mountains and it is nothing short of AMAZING. Just when I thought that I am good and nothing needs "tweaking ", He shows me just how much I need to grow and that through Him anything is possible. I am so grateful for HIS love for me and HIS gentle reminders. I am also thankful for those wonderful people in my life that help me in my walk with HIM.

We dropped Phoebe off for a week at her Mamaw's and she was so excited! Mr. Masters is headed out of town on Monday so I am taking the two remaining kids with me back to Alabama. Looking forward to going back and getting more time with family.

Be imitators of God as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
