Lately...

We had the neighbors over for St. Patty's Day Party complete with live music.

Mr. Masters took a picture of me before the party but notice how my skirt and the plates match! It was funny because i had the skirt but found the plates at Hobby Lobby. It was a FUN party and we plan to make it annual event.
Some of the boys listening to the music, which was great!

Here are some of the girls just relaxing.

Here is Grey's new room. I meant to post last time but forgot. I have not put the lights in yet but getting there and I originally planned on putting this as a headboard but he is a maniac and I did not feel comfortable putting this in his reach. When he gets a little older I will use it as a headboard.
This picture is a little dark due to naptime but here is his painted headboard complete with licence plates. I think it turned out cute but he manages to pull those off the wall. That boy!!
Phoebe is learning to ride without training wheels and almost has it.
This is a picture after all the kids ran in the St. Patty's Day race again this year. Greyson even got to run and they all received shamrock medals. They enjoyed ice cream after the race.

Our niece won a state award for a picture she took and was honored in the ATL. So Mr. Masters took the girls after church to have lunch with them. Thanks to Mamaw for their wonderful Easter Baskets!
Saturday some of the neighborhood kids hung out at our house and played games and had fun!

This go in the wrong order but this is the after picture after ripping out all those terrible pokey holly bushes.
We took out all the ugly junipers by the mailbox too. I can wait to landscape them and make them pretty.
You can actually see our front door and you don't have to worry about the bushes hurting you when you walk by.
THis is a picture of how we pulled them out since they were pretty mature.
The before picture....
Here is a snail and if you look behind her there is a little one. So cute! They were crossing our grass so we decided to help them along and put them in the brush.
While we have been outside so much has caused us to stumble across some of the creatures that live in our back yard. Here are two salamanders that the kids had fun with and then we let them go.

I painted my larger post on my stairs white... trying to get rid of that 80's look and really looking forward to ripping the carpet off the stairs and the living areas in the fall.
Soccer is still in full swing and the girls are enjoying it. Lula more so than Pheebs but she is having fun too.
We have been living outside since the weather is so fabulous. I caught the kids playing nicely together in the hammock.
We caught a lizard and they both have their mouth wide open. He was not happy but we let him go.

This is my building in the back where I painted my quilt square. Really like it and need to do it on the other side. Now I need curtains for the windows and plant honey suckle on either side of the front doors and this project will be complete.

Projects

That word is an ever growing list in my house but I have to admit that I love to do projects. I think it is because of the results and that I get to enjoy it!

We started the seeds almost 2 weeks ago and are waiting to see if anything will come of it. I plan to buy some plants for the garden as well .
Here is the garden site. Mr. Masters was kind enough to get it ready for me and I am very excited about growing some veggies. Now if I could just get some chickens too!
This is my new and improved fire pit. I bought 1100lbs. of rock and 420 lbs of sand to complete this project. Total cost was under $200 dollars. I am very happy with the results and hoping to help with the mud pit we had before. I also planted moss in between so lets hope if lives. We spend a lot of time here so it makes me smile to see it beautified.
This is Phoebes' whimsical painted headboard. I have to admit I got the idea off of Pinterest but created my own design. Phoebe told me that she feels like a princess when she sleeps.
This is my new painted basement. Before it was an awful dull off white. The picture makes it more green than it really is but it does not feel like a basement anymore.
Here are some floating shelves that I installed as well.
Here is Lula's painted headboard. She really likes it and it fills that big pink wall in nicely.
My guest room(it really is just an extra room not a guest room) was a catch all and I never opened the door because it looked so bad... but now it actually looks like a room with a purpose and I don't feel the need to make it my catch all room.
We have also recently planted 12 trees for some future privacy and hoping they will survive, especially because I do not particularly have a green thumb. I am tired but taking a few days off before I am on to the next project. =) Speaking of next project, I have several bushes and juniper that I plan to remove from the front yard. I will post before and after pics when I get to that going.

This caught my eye this am during some quiet time and thought I would share.

If you get time look it up and reflect on it. "This puts wisdom in the fabric of her life"

February

So February was a blurr....
We had pink eye go through all the kids and then back through the other eye in two kids. Greyson had a stomach virus while visiting with Nana Carol. The girls and Anthony had colds. We are all back on track and healthy for the moment praise God
Here is a picture of G sporting a lovely pink headband. He was so proud that he put it on all by himself. He is growing fast and talks a lot.
Soccer has started for both the girls and they are so excited! Lula scored the winning goal in her first scrimmage game and is fast as lightning.
Tara gave Mr. Masters some bear house shoes and if you notice in the background Carlos would not even come into the same room with these things. You know we had a field day with him on this one and will have to post the video of it.
Pajama Day at school which the kids love.
This is some of Lula's art work. I know it is sideways but could not change it but it was so sweet. It read "My family is valuable to me because they care for me and love me sooo much that my inside is fool of care". I just love that girls and she so makes my heart smile.
We took a quick trip to G-berg with the Harper's and had a blast! On the way we stopped at Sweet Water Farms and on the way home we stopped at MayField farms. The picture above is us on the Mayfield tour and afterwards had some yummy ice cream.
In G-berg the girls got to Ice Skate for the first time and was better at it than we ever imagined.

Here the kids are striking a pose after riding go-carts, playing gooney golf, and riding rides. We went on a fabulous hike and the kids did great.
The adults got to drive the kids in go-carts and had more fun than the kids.
The beautiful trail on the hike.
